A bottle wrapping line must turn individual bottles into a repeatable transportable group. The required grouping pattern affects the machine arrangement as much as bottle height or line speed. Prepare the bundle specification before requesting an automatic bottle web sealer with shrink tunnel.
Which bottle and bundle details matter?
List every bottle format with diameter, height, filled weight, closure and label type. Photograph the intended group from above and from the side. Identify whether bottles stand directly on the conveyor or use a tray or pad. Include formats with narrow bases or unusual shoulders because they may behave differently during grouping.
State the number of bottles per group and the required bundles per minute. For example, a bottle rate of 120 per minute divided into twelve-bottle bundles creates a theoretical ten bundles per minute before losses. That arithmetic does not establish machine capacity; grouping interruptions and rejected packs must be measured.
What is included in automatic operation?
Ask the supplier to identify bottle accumulation, lane division, counting, grouping, film feed, sealing and tunnel transfer in the proposed layout. Confirm which stages require operator intervention. An automatic sealer may still depend on an upstream grouping arrangement supplied separately.
Review transfer height, available straight conveyor length and access for film replacement. A drawing should show operator positions and the route for finished bundles to leave the line without blocking the tunnel exit.
How do you compare alternative offers?
- Use identical bottle samples, film and group patterns.
- Measure accepted bundles over an agreed run duration.
- Time format changes and normal film replacement.
- Inspect bottle stability, label condition and cooled-pack handling.
What should be confirmed before manufacture?
Agree the supply boundary, utilities and acceptance record through machine consultation. Include the smallest and least stable bottle in the trial. Then use the bottle-line acceptance checklist to make sure the final demonstration matches your daily production, including routine stops and restarts.
